Inner Clock

My clock keeps ticking,

Counting off the minutes of my life.

There is no way to stop it,

To it's rhythm it is sticking.

Good times, and bad ones too,

All move at the very same rate.

Never pulsing or pausing,

No matter what you do.

They tell me life's been good to me,

I don't see that on my face.

I know that time is in short supply,

So I want to be all that I can be!
