I was looking out of my window today,
Watching the river as it flowed away.
Nearly lost in my thoughts and tears,
Looking for sunshine to lighten my fears.

I started thinking about all that I've got.
I found myself starting to smile at the thoughts.
My children are a joy, both of them healthy,
We have all we need even though we aren't wealthy.

I yearn for a lover that will care how I feel,
No glamour or pretense just a life that is real.
Unconditional love is so hard to find,
Complete comfort and passion is one of a kind.

I'm a lucky lady, even when things go wrong,
I think that really, I knew it all along.
Life makes us think that we've failed in some way,
If we don't make lots of money and change everyday.

But it's the little things,
That make this life shine.
And I'm not going to waste this day,
Because it's mine!!!
