It didn't happen quickly,
To took time for me to see.
I was thinking of forever,
While you were toying with me.

I pictured us together,
Through good times and bad.
You never really loved me,
Now I'm left here feeling sad.

I'm not sad because your gone,
I'm better off without you.
I'm sad because I waited so long,
To pick up on the clues.

I needed someone to share my world,
To love me just as I am.
I thought I saw so much in you,
That you were an honest man.

I'm fully awake and aware now,
It's time to let my fantasies die.
You can never be faithful and true,
Sadly, not even you know why.

Someday you will be old and alone,
With cold winds at your door.
Think then of how you've treated me,
Cry because I don't love you anymore!
