Walls of Life
Stuck inside four walls,
Watching the world go by.
I know that I need relief,
I feel myself start to cry.

Life should be so easy,
Live, love, and be kind to others.
Look out for those around you,
Make them your sisters and brothers.

Curve balls keep coming at me,
I hide here to avoid the pain.
Never really knowing in my heart,
If I can face real life again.

I'm given no choice as the alarm rings,
I have to start another day.
I bury my disappointment,
Get dressed and then move on my way.

I go through all the motions,
I even put a smile on my face.
I can't let them know they get to me,
I must stay in this insane race.

Stuck inside these four walls,
Watching the world go by.
I see hatred and confusion.
I feel myself start to cry.
